Fujian Hengxin Chemical Method Regenerated Nylon Project will be put into operation in the first quarter of 2026
In the golden autumn season, the construction of the green chemical regeneration project of Fujian Hengxin Green Technology Co., Ltd. is in full swing in the Shenyuan New Materials Integrated Industrial Park in Lianjiang County. According to Ke Linjun, the production department manager of the company, the equipment installation of the project has been basically completed, and the overall progress has reached 80%. It is expected to be put into operation in the first quarter of 2026. The promotion of the world's first large-scale nylon 6 chemical T2T regeneration project marks a significant breakthrough for China in the field of high-end recycled materials.

Project Details: Technological Innovation and Industrial Value
The total investment of Lianjiang Hengxin Green Chemical Recycling Project is 379 million yuan, and the localization rate of equipment is as high as 90%. It is the world's first large-scale nylon 6 chemical T2T closed-loop regeneration project. T2T stands for "Textile to Textile", which is based on the company's independently developed nylon chemical regeneration technology. Through processes such as depolymerization, purification, and polymerization, it converts waste textile materials such as fishing nets and fabrics into high-quality recycled polyamide 6 slices.
Unlike traditional physical recycling, we use chemical recycling technology to achieve 'primary recycling' of waste nylon. The quality of recycled products can be comparable to that of native nylon, while reducing carbon emissions by 80%, "said Ke Linjun. The project is expected to have an annual production capacity of 7000 tons and will establish a complete polyamide 6 closed-loop recycling system to solve the problem of resource recycling through technological innovation.

Overview of the Global Recycled Nylon Market
According to Textile Exchange data, the global market for recycled nylon is still in its infancy. As of 2022, the global production of nylon fibers is approximately 6.21 million tons, with only 130000 tons of recycled nylon and a penetration rate of only 2.02%, far lower than the penetration rate of 14.83% for recycled polyester. If the penetration rate of recycled nylon reaches the level of polyester, the potential demand for recycled nylon worldwide can reach 920000 tons, and the market space is huge.
In 2024, the global production of recycled nylon is about 200000 tons, accounting for only about 2.3% of all nylon production. Over the past five years, nylon production has steadily increased, but the growth of the recycled nylon market has been slow, mainly due to technological challenges, limitations in raw material quality and availability, and investment demand.
At present, there are few global suppliers of recycled nylon, and the industry chain is not yet mature. After chemical consumption, recycled suppliers are even rarer. Only a few companies, such as Aquafil from Italy, Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. from Taiwan, Xiaoxing from South Korea, Dongli from Japan, Taihua New Materials from Taiwan, Jiahua from Zhejiang, and Jinjiang from Yongrong, have been certified as suppliers of recycled nylon after GRS chemical method consumption.
