5.2 Billion Yuan Investment: Anhui Recycled Polyester Project to Commence Operation Post-Spring Festival
At the construction site of the Recycled Polyester High-Performance Modified Materials Industrial Chain Project in Jinzhai County, workers are racing against time to advance the project schedule. Currently, 32 factory buildings have passed completion acceptance.
The project employs a "capital investment + industrial fund" model, leveraging government-led industrial guidance funds to catalyze the aggregation and development of the regional circular economy industrial chain. This has established a positive cycle of "fund investment - project landing - industrial value addition - tax revenue feedback." As of now, the project's overall investment attraction progress has reached 70%.
Ye Chen, head of the project's Safety Supervision Department, stated that the first batch of signed tenant enterprises had already moved their equipment into the premises in December, and installation is currently underway. The earliest estimated production commencement is scheduled for after the Spring Festival in 2026.
With a total investment of 5.2 billion yuan and covering an area of approximately 393 acres, the project plans to construct 32 high-standard factory buildings with a total floor area of 210,000 square meters. Centered on recycled polyester, the park focuses on segments such as high-performance modified materials, injection molding products, new energy vehicle parts, and mechanical processing. It aims to build a complete polyester material circular utilization industrial chain covering recycling, regeneration, modification, and finished products.
In terms of production capacity planning, the project plans to install 10 sets of automated PET production lines, 80 sets of recycled chips production lines, 100 high-performance modified material production lines, and 500 injection molding production lines. By recycling waste plastics and utilizing "high-performance modification" technology to enhance physical properties, it seeks to effectively substitute traditional petroleum-based plastics.
Liu Yongjin, Investment Director of the project, indicated that in the future, they intend to establish a sales and production system based primarily on the domestic market, supplemented by overseas markets, building it into the largest industrial cluster base for recycled polyester high-performance modified materials in China. Upon full project completion and operation, it is expected to achieve an annual production capacity of 200,000 tons of PET flakes, 150,000 tons of recycled chips, 250,000 tons of high-performance modified materials, and 50,000 tons of injection molding products. The annual output value is projected to reach approximately 5 billion yuan, with annual tax contributions of about 200 million yuan.
