Capacity Doubled: Shaanxi Haiyi's Recycled PET Project Upgraded through Technological Renovation

The waste plastic recycling project at the Baishui Haiyi Circular Economy Industrial Park has recently undergone comprehensive technological transformation, achieving an upgrade from traditional sorting to intelligent and refined production. Operated by Shaanxi Haiyi Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., the project uses waste PET bottles as raw materials to produce specialized recycled polyester materials for chemical fiber applications.

The upgrade focused on automation and process optimization of the production line, increasing capacity from approximately 3 tons per hour to 6 tons, with a daily raw material processing volume of about 100 tons. By expanding the sorting process from two stages to five, the impurity content in the products can be controlled below 1.5‱ or even 1‱, meeting the quality requirements of high-end textile sectors for recycled raw materials.

The upgraded production line includes processes such as unpacking, sorting, crushing, and cleaning. The resulting bottle flakes are primarily supplied to downstream chemical fiber enterprises for use in producing clothing, home furnishing fillings, automotive interiors, and eco-friendly fabrics. Additionally, the project enables the resource utilization of bottle caps, labels, and other waste materials, further extending the industrial chain.

The company plans to establish a small laboratory to systematically monitor product indicators such as melting point, viscosity, and tensile strength, ensuring quality stability. Currently, equipment installation is underway in Workshop No. 2 of the core production area, while Workshop No. 1 is also under construction.

Shi Mingjun, Deputy General Manager of Shaanxi Haiyi Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., stated, "The equipment installation is expected to be completed by the end of December. We will begin trial operations and machine adjustments in early January and aim to achieve successful trial production before the Lunar New Year, with formal production commencing after the holiday. Once the entire line is fully operational, we expect to produce approximately 150 tons of finished products daily, with an annual output of 50,000 tons.
