On the other hand, traditional recycling systems, dominated by physical (mechanical) recycling, are facing unprecedented existential pressure. Under current realities, it has become increasingly difficult to achieve an economic closed-loop for low-value plastic waste such as films, PP woven bags, and flexible packaging through physical means alone.
The circular system is undergoing structural transformation. As material prices fall and the total volume of waste plastics continues to grow, feedstocks that previously resided within the physical recycling system are being compelled to find new outlets. Consequently, Chemical Recycling is transitioning from a mere "technical option" to a "systemic solution." It is no longer just a supplementary path but is becoming a primary method for handling low-value, complex, and mixed materials. Technology is moving into a cycle of tangible implementation. Multiple technical routes—including thermal pyrolysis, catalytic cracking, enzymatic hydrolysis, and solvent-based methods—are evolving in sync. The industry is entering a window of intensive construction for 10,000-ton scale industrial facilities. Meanwhile, capabilities in intelligent sorting, pre-treatment, and traceability are constantly improving, providing a more realistic feedstock foundation for chemical recycling.
Against this backdrop, the industry urgently needs a platform—one that facilitates systematic, open, and pragmatic exchange regarding policy trends, technical pathways, feedstock logic, and commercial closed-loops.
